The position involves interactions with customers to provide basic or scripted information in response to routine inquiries about products and services. It also involves receiving orders for rentals and services, describing available options, computing cost, and accepting payment.
Position responsibilities:
1. Greets and assists all customers.
2. Addresses customer queries regarding optional tours and other onshore/island and water activities.
3. Provides directions and relevant information to customers.
4. Communicates in foreign languages with visitors.
5. Determines charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing.
6. Receives orders for services, such as rentals and repairs.
7. Explains rental fees, policies, and procedures.
8. Provides information about rental items, such as availability, operation, or description.
9. Advises customers on use and care of items rented.
10. Discusses the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise sought for rental.
11. Answers telephones to provide information and receive customer orders and requests or reservations.
12. Inspects and adjust rental items to meet the needs of customers.
13. Prepares rental forms, obtaining customer signature and other information, such as required licenses.
14. Arranges rental items or services for customers according to their orders or rental agreements.
15. Keeps records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
16. Refers unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
17. Receives, examines, and tags rental items to be cleaned, stored, or repaired.
18. Reserves items for requested times and keep records of items rented.
19. Prepares rental items for display or for rental.
20. Communicates recommended improvements in products, service, or billing methods and procedures to management or designated departments to prevent future problems.
21. Recommends and provides advice on a wide variety of products and services.

23. Instructs participants in swimming or other recreational activities and provide safety precaution information.
24. Participates in recreational demonstrations to entertain guests.
25. Allocates equipment and materials to participants in recreational activities.
26. Rescues distressed people using rescue techniques and equipment.
27. Contacts emergency medical personnel in cases of serious injury.
28. Examines injured people and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation if necessary, using available medical supplies and equipment.
29. Keep informed of shut-down and emergency evacuation procedures.
30. Serve as liaison between Adventure Guides, Customer Service Specialists, Lifeguards, Deckhands, Boat Mechanics, and Boat Captains.
31. Contacts emergency medical personnel in cases of serious injury.
32. Performs any other assigned tasks or duties.
